Frequently Asked Questions
About ALTR
What is ALTR Athletic Club?
ALTR is a rhythm-based spin studio where movement, music, and energy come together to create transformation. Our classes are designed to challenge your body, elevate your mindset, and connect you to something deeper. Every ride is an opportunity to grow stronger — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Where is ALTR located?
You’ll find us at 241 Third Ave, Ste B, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
What should I expect in class?
Each 45-minute ride is a full-body experience on the bike. We move to the beat, use resistance to build strength, and channel the power of rhythm and intention to leave you feeling grounded and recharged.
Are your classes beginner-friendly?
Absolutely. Every class is open to all levels. Your coach will guide you through the ride and help you find the right resistance and rhythm for your body.
Booking & Membership
How do I book a class?
Book your ride directly through our website or mobile app. Create an account, purchase a credit or membership, and reserve your bike.
Do you offer memberships or class packs?
Yes. Choose what fits your lifestyle — from single drop-ins to class packs and unlimited memberships. Visit our Pricing page for full details.
Can I cancel or reschedule my class?
You can cancel or reschedule up to 12 hours before class through your account. Late cancellations result in a fee, and no-shows result in both a fee and the loss of your class credit.
Do you have a waitlist?
Yes. If a class is full, add yourself to the waitlist. You’ll be notified by email or text if a spot opens up.
Before & After Class
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable, fitted workout clothes and bring your own towel and water bottle. Our bikes are compatible with SPD and Delta cleats. If you’re renting shoes, please note our rentals have Delta cleats installed.
When should I arrive for class?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, especially if it’s your first time. This ensures we can properly set up your bike and go over safety cues.
If you’re a first-time rider and arrive within those 10 minutes, entry is not guaranteed. Entry will not be permitted once class has started.
What’s your late policy?
Doors close 5 minutes after class begins, and late entry is not permitted. This helps maintain a safe and uninterrupted experience for everyone in the room.
Do you have storage?
We have cubbies in the lobby to store your personal items. Studio doors will be locked 5 minutes after class begins.
Where can I park?
There’s street parking all around the studio and an ACE parking lot behind the building. Both are free before 8 AM and after 6 PM. We highly recommend you head to the studio with time to spare, in case parking happens to be full/limited.

Do you offer private events or group rides?
Yes. We host private rides for celebrations, corporate events, and special occasions. Reach out to us for more details and scheduling.
Health & Safety
What if I’m new to cycling or haven’t worked out in a while?
No problem — our classes are designed for all levels. Our front desk employees will help you set up your bike and our instructors offer modifications throughout class so you can ride at your own pace.
Can I ride if I’m pregnant or recovering from an injury?
Always check with your doctor before participating in any workout. Once cleared, let your instructor know before class so they can support you with adjustments for safety and comfort.
What should I do if I start feeling dizzy or unwell during class?
Listen to your body first. You can sit up, slow your pace, or step out quietly if you need to. Our team is always here to help.
How does ALTR maintain a safe environment?
All instructors are CPR-certified, and our bikes and shared surfaces are cleaned and sanitized daily. We’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and uplifting environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
